How to Connect MediaPilot to ChatGPT
ChatGPT can use MCP servers as custom connectors, which means MediaPilot can sit inside the same chat where you already think out loud about your business. The connection uses OAuth, so ChatGPT never sees your MediaPilot password.
Open connector settings
In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector. Depending on your plan this lives under Developer mode; the option is only available on paid ChatGPT plans.
Add the MediaPilot server
Give it a name you will recognise, such as MediaPilot, and the URL https://mcp.media-pilot.io/mcp. Leave authentication set to OAuth — there is no key to paste.
Approve the connection
ChatGPT opens MediaPilot in a browser window. Sign in, pick the workspaces the connector may reach, and choose its permissions: read, draft, schedule, publish.
Check that the tools are there
Ask 'which MediaPilot workspaces can you see?'. A list means the connection works. If ChatGPT says it has no tools, reopen the connector and make sure it is enabled for the conversation.
Work from chat
Ask for a draft, for last month's engagement rate, or for the comments nobody has answered. Everything the assistant writes lands in MediaPilot as a draft until you or it schedules the post.
